Ford was the owner of Ford's Theatre where President Lincoln was assassinated. We prepared the statement from the hand-written original found in the John T. Ford papers at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore, Maryland. He mentions Dr. Mudd, but it is mostly about Mrs. Surratt.
